December brought the Polar Vortex and extremely cold weather to Denver. Dave was working lots of long hours in the miserable weather and Roberta had put in all the paperwork with the local school district but they were very slow in getting her on board for subbing, so she was always looking for activities to occupy her time. She had just finished all the Christmas shopping when the idea came to her to hand deliver some of them to the grand-kids in Arizona (anything to escape this freezing weather!!) Upon her return the weather managed to get even colder!
Mid-December the cold let up just enough for Roberta and her crazy tennis buddies to attempt to play….we decided to get a REAL tree, and tie it to the pole outside the RV….even our car got in on the holiday spirit….Roberta surprised Dave one weekend with a crazy Cartoon Pajama & Cereal Party at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Littleton….Roberta took herself to see the Mythbusters Exhibit at the Denver Science Museum (Dave was working so couldn’t go)…and we rang in the New Year at Denver’s famous 16th Street Mall. Here’s the month in pictures for your enjoyment…..
